Questions about the Natural Balancing Creams.

1. What is the difference between Phytoprolief and Prolief?
Both are natural balancing creams conveniently packaged in a metered pump to supply ¼ teaspoon of product per dose. PhytoProlief contains added phytoestrogenic herbs, and Prolief does not.

2. What is the suggested use for the natural balancing creams?
The recommended use for women is ¼ teaspoon (1 pump) to ½ teaspoon (2 pumps) per day. One pump should be applied in the evening. If using two pumps, they should be divided, one in the morning, one in the evening. Apply the natural balancing cream to the soft tissues, such as the chest, inner arms, neck, face and palms of the hands and soles of the feet. It is recommended to rotate applications to a different soft tissue with each usage. For men, apply 1/8 teaspoon (½ pump) of Prolief daily to face after shaving or to soft tissues.

3. Should I use one pump or two?

PhytoProlief & Prolief

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
 
Premenopausal Women

Over the course of a month use one pump to two pumps daily.  Your goal is to approximate the 15 to 24 mg per day that an ovulating woman makes during the second half of her cycle.  The length of this cycle can vary from 12 to 18 days, depending on how early in your cycle you ovulate and how long your cycle is.  Women's sensitivity to hormones differs tremendously, so your dose will depend on your individual sensitivity.

Begin your first month of progesterone cream use between days 10 and 12 of your menstrual cycle, counting the first day of your period as day 1.  Continue until the last day before your expected period, which for most women is between 26 and 30 days.  (If you don't know how long your cycle is because you have had irregular bleeding, or if your cycles have been very short or very long, use your intuition and pick a day.)  If your period starts before your chosen last day, stop using the cream and begin counting again to day 10, 11, or 12.  If you have had irregular cycles, it may take up to three months to begin having a more normal menstrual cycle.  (Women who experience a severe recurrence of symptoms during the break can start on the 8th day of the cycle.  Otherwise, it's best to give it two weeks.)  Most women find that the estrogenic symptoms disappear within a couple of cycles.

Menopausal Women

Over the course of a month use one pump to two pumps of PhytoProlief nightly or one pump at night and one in the morning.  If you are experiencing hot flashes or vaginal dryness, you will know if these symptoms improve.  Every woman's biochemistry and ability to absorb and use the cream are different so the actual dose will vary.  Since natural progesterone is notable for its freedom from side effects, such latitude in dosing carries no risk. A short period of 3 to 4 days of not using the cream is recommended to maintain receptor sensitivity.  For example, start on the first of the month and stop the 28, 29, 30 and 31 of the month then resume the 1st.

Application:

The larger the area of skin the dose is spread on, the greater the absorption. Sufficient time should be allowed for maximum absorption, which is one reason to apply the cream at bedtime.
Apply cream to thinner skin, places where you blush. Best spots are palms (if not callused), chest, inner arms, neck, and face. Soles of feet are good if not callused. We now know that buttocks, inner thighs and low abdomen are not quite as good.
